Wedding

Jason and I were married on May 12, 2012 at Laguna Gloria in Austin, Texas.

Laguna Gloria was the very first venue we looked at and we are so glad we went back to it! It was absolutely gorgeous!!

We chose the amphitheater over looking the Laguna for our ceremony site. Jason built the arbor we were married under with help from our friend, Trent. I was amazed on how well it turned out!

The gorgeous trees in the amphitheater kept the ceremony pretty cool for Texas in May.

My beautiful bridesmaids were a mix of childhood friends and college friends. I could not ask for a better group!

From left to right:
COURTNEY- We became friends by accident. We were forced to be partners for a project in one of our college classes. We instantly clicked and produced an Oscar-worthy video about why PE is so awesome. I introduced Courtney to other Kines friends with the warning that they would think she was a bitch at first, but give her time and she is really funny…it worked, enter Cabin 8!

ERIN- We met at a Lacrosse Christmas party…where Jason kicked in the door to a bedroom to find a group of girls dancing to Thriller…and later became roommates. We had so much fun together--skipping class to eat queso and watch Disney movies-- I miss living with her.

TARA- We have been best friends since middle school, where we both broke up with our boyfriends of one week in IDENTICAL notes, which we handed to the boys (my boyfriend actually being Jason--who knew we would later end up married!). She is now married to a wonderful man and they have an adorable little son--Everett!

AMELIA- We have been best friends since high school. We bonded over our lazy-procrastination-ness, love for random adventures, Mexican food, and tequila. As lazy as we may be, we love working out and completed our first triathlon together on June 3rd!

KYRIN- We met at the fine establishment of Club Z (after school and summer day-care). Our friendship is based on our love of Chuys' creamy jalapeno and bean & cheese mini-burritos. We have gotten into plenty of shenanigans together.

MICHELLE- We met in college during KB's Major's Fitness class, but did not really establish our friendship until 308--Outdoor Ed and 429--Adaptive PE. 308 was at 8am and 429 was at 11:10. There were many times between the two that we would hit up the magnificent place of Mi Cocina to enjoy breakfast tacos and margaritas. I have been deemed "Honorary Mexican" because besides the fact that my skin is so white it basically glows, I could be considered Mexican due to my love of  Mexican food and Margaritas…and it helps that my dad makes the best margaritas, hands down!

During wedding weekend, this awesome group of girls got along so well--you would have thought they had been friends forever, but this was the first time the whole group was together. I love each of them so much and am so blessed to have them in my life!

My wonderful parents

Proof that Jason has undoubtedly been accepted into the family!

I wore my grandmother's mothers ring as my "something old." It meant the world to me to wear it.

"Here comes the Bride"

My daddy had "sweat" in his eyes the entire time

I loved our officiant, Mike, he did a wonderful job!

This little angel saved me from tears several times!

  1. Such a beautiful wedding, Ryanne! I can totally understand your dad making great margs, but definitely would never imagine the kiss of the son-in-law. Too funny! Congrats.
